Coordination is a b*@ch

Thanks to Vikas and his ability to still maintain friendships from when he was growing up in Kenya, we were able to get a pretty sweet deal for our Kilimanjaro hike.  We scoured through several companies as recommended by his friends.  After two months of back and forth emails, skype calls and texts, we finally went with Dream Kenya (http://www.dreamkenyasafaris.com/new/).  The journey seem insurmountable:

08.06.11 – Pick up from Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to Marangu for overnight.
09.06.11 – Marangu to Mandara Hut 9,000 feet.
10.06.11 - Mandara to Horombo Hut 12,500 feet.
11.06.11 - Acclimatization day (moved from 12/06 to 11/06)
12.06.11 - Horombo to Kibo Hut 15,500 feet (moved from 11/06 to 12/06)
13.06.11 - Kibo Hut to Summit, Descent to Horombo Hut
14.06.11 - Horombo Hut to the Park Gate, back to hotel for overnight.
15.06.11 – Drop off at Kilimanjaro airport

All this for the costs of $1390, not including flights.

Some of us are flying in from elsewhere in Europe, others are paying about $2K to fly through multiple stops from SFO.

It was already tiring trying to figure this out but very grateful for Vikas and his willingness to take this piece on!
